Are these knives dishwasher safe?

No. Like all professional-grade high carbon steel instruments, these knives should never be placed in a dishwasher. To keep your knife in pristine condition for a lifetime, simply hand wash with mild soap, wipe dry immediately, and store safely.

Do I need to sharpen the knives?

Our knives arrive razor-sharp out of the box. High carbon steel holds an edge significantly longer than standard stainless steel, but all knives eventually need maintenance. We recommend honing with a ceramic rod occasionally to maintain the laser-sharp edge.
